Daddy Daughter Dance

Butterfly Kisses, Cinderella, and Y.M.C.A....What more could you want in a Daddy Daughter Dance?

This weekend marked the second bi-annual Daddy/Daughter Dance at my children's school. It was a wonderful time of yummy food, fun Minute to Win It Games, and of course crazy fun dancing with sweet slow songs as well.

I shared how the committee had prepared, planned and prayed for this night for several months. It was a small taste of what Jesus is doing for us in Heaven. He has prepared a place for us, he has mighty plans for our lives, and He wants us to communicate with Him in prayer!

One of the highlights was our speaker who gave an encouraging talk about Being There for your family. He gave lots of great examples including making applesauce as a family. What a fun idea! He tied everything together with we are all busy with different things, but Jesus has to be a priority.

In the same way my husband made my daughter feel special that night - buying a corsage, taking pictures with her, opening the door for her...that's what God wants to do for me.
