Inspire me Monday - Week Sixteen
The day after. The celebrations are over. The tomb was rolled away. The eggs have been found. The ham eaten and the cake so perfectly shaped like an egg is looking a bit like a sad smashed colorful shoe laying in the coconut grass.Do you see what I did there? I didn't mean to, but looking back at my words, I stuck that the tomb was rolled away in between references of ham and cake. The most important and single most pivotal event in all of human history within a paragraph of the daily of life. And I am feeling like now more than ever, that is what I am doing to God. I am sticking Him in the mundane things, but instead of looking for Him to make the mundane into meaningful, I just making Him mundane. Instead of my life being different because of the power that I have in the Word that He has given me, I am just checking off the boxes for I don't even know what. Do you ever feel like that?He has come so that we may have life and have it abundantly. He has come to be our greatest cheerleader. He came and died with the twigs on his head so that I may be able to tell the story. But how is that different in my life? In my purpose as a woman, a mom, a wife, a writer, a believer?Because all of those roles, are just that. . . roles. But the last one is my life. And how is my life different? How is your life different?Like Tony Evans writes:"Maybe you are blessed with an excellent education or a favorable appearance or even a good life. Whatever it is that God has given you - be it a talent, a gift, or unique capacity in life - He has dome it on purpose. Not so you will hoard your blessings, but so you can use the position He has given to you to bring about His purpose in the lives of others around you." (Kingdom Woman, pg.190)
